Committee

Each year at the AGM, our committee members are nominated and voted in.
All committee positions are filled by volunteers who are members of a local, Victorian club.
If you are interested in becoming an AMBA Victorian Branch committee member, the AGM is held each year in May.

Fiona Lally

Fiona joined the state branch in 2017 as President. Working in close proximity with the rest of the committee, she is working towards stronger inter-club relationships, larger state level events, and more consistent communication between clubs, states and the national board. Fiona has a daughter Zara & triplets Zac, Isabelle & Ashton. She is a member of EAMBA and active on the committee as Higher Order Multiple support.

Rebecca Jones

Rebecca joined the AMBA Vic committee as Vice President in 2017. Working alongside the State President, she has pushed for change, and has been a driving force in modifying the impact of the state branch. She is Vice-President of EAMBA, and has helped improve the club and the services on offer. Rebecca and her husband Michael have twins Charlotte and Georgia, and Isabella.

Michael Jones

Filling the much needed role of Technology Specialist, Michael joined in late 2017. His goals for AMBA Victoria are centralising and streamlining communication for the branch, and developing web presence. A father of twins and a singleton, He is an active committee member of Eastern Area MBA, and an all around geek.

Laura Beaton

Laura is mum to toddler triplets and is a member of the Eastern Area Multiple Births Association. After recognising the importance of all parents of multiples being supported through their journey from conception to parenting (regardless of the number of babies!), Laura joined the AMBA Vic committee as the Higher Order Multiples Representative.

Katrina Mills

Katrina is our current Antenatal Coordinator and has served in a number of roles on the State Committee for the last 3 years. Katrina and her husband have 4 year old identical triplet girls and a 2 year old son.

Koula Zougras

Koula’s current role is the Special Needs Officer. She has taken on this role as she believes Volunteeing is about helping others and is so fulfilling. Koula is a a mum to 7 year old triplets, Peter, Christina and Zoe. She has been an active member of the Diamond Valley Multiple Birth Association for the past 7 years.

Laura Russell

Laura is our current Twin 2 Twin Transfusion Syndrome contact, she has 5 yr old twins who were born at 33 weeks affected by Stage 3 TTTS.
Laura is a member of SEMBA, she was the club secretary for 2 years and has been on the committee since her twins were born. She decided to join the committee to help spread the word on TTTS and to assist our members on what questions to ask at scans etc, her twin 2 suffered cranial bleeds which resulted in Hydrocephalus so Laura has lots of experience in managing a child with an ongoing medical condition.

Jenny Hurst

Jenny Hurst is currently a general committee member. She has 6 year old twin girls, Sadie and Gertie, an 8 year old boy, Alfie, and 3 year old girl, Vivienne. She is a member of the Geelong Area Multiple Birth Association (GAMBA), where she has been Secretary, Membership Secretary, Antenatal Coordinator and Newsletter Editor. She joined the state committee to help keep her local club up to date with multiple birth news and to find out more about the role of the state committee and how it runs.

Nicole King

Nicole is the current AMBA Vic Bereavement Officer. She is mother to identical twins girls who are 2, as well as identical girls who would have been 5 this year but unfortunately passed away. Nicole is a member of The Eastern Area Multiple Births Association.

Abby Cooper

Abby is the Secretary for AMBA Vic, as well vice-president of Albury Wodonga MBA. Abby is married to Jeff, and together they have 9 year old fraternal girl twins and a 5 year old boy. In her day job Abby works as a midwife. Volunteering for Abby is all about giving back to the people who helped her so much when her twins were babies so in her spare time helps out both local and state multiple birth groups.

Anna Bucicova

Anna is the Treasurer of AMBA Vic. Her MCDA twin girls (Amellia & Anastasia) turned two in January 2018. After her girls were born at 36+5 weeks, her midwife suggested her joining CAMBA. Having such a big support was priceless, as her family are in Moldova. She is now giving back to AMBA by using her skills as an accountant. She is trying to be involved in AMBA Vic as much as she can.

Larissa Jordan

In addition to the Victorian State Liaison position, Larissa is President of the Diamond Valley Multiple Birth Association and has recently taken on the position of Director of Organisational Capability on the AMBA board. Larissa has three year old fraternal triplets named Eli, Marley and Aliyah who love attending playgroup with their ‘multi’ friends and playing outdoors.
